New Business View navigation menu available in QuickBooks Online

QuickBooks® Online has a new navigation menu view rolling out over the next several months. Here’s a message we shared with our QuickBooks Online accountants.

Heads up — the QuickBooks Online navigation bar is changing. Here’s what you need to know:

What’s going to change?

A new Business View navigation menu is now available to new QuickBooks users that identify as Owner or Partner in the set up flow. Business View contains the same features as the current navigation — it’s just organized to better suit the needs of business owners.

Some of the changes include: The Business overview menu is now home to the Cash flow, Reports, Planner, and Projects tabs. Get paid & pay is home to the Vendors, Sales, and Time tabs. Bookkeeping is home to Transactions, Chart of accounts, and Tags. The QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted menu is still only visible to customers who are not connected to an accountant.

Why are we making these changes?

We’ve created Business View to help business owners find info that’s important to them in language they’re likely to use.

Who will see these changes?

Users that identified as business owners during setup and created a new company after October 20, 2021 will see the new Business View.

When will this be available to my clients?

Existing customers will start seeing Business View in early to mid-2022.

If you or your client want to continue using the current navigation bar, you still can. The current navigation bar will be known as Accountant View. You can switch your view at anytime.
