Announcing upcoming changes to QuickBooks pricing

An email was sent to accounting professionals on June 10, 2024, announcing upcoming pricing changes for QuickBooks products and services:


A message from Intuit QuickBooks:


As a valued partner, we want to inform you of upcoming price changes for QuickBooks products and services starting August 1, 2024 as provided below.


Our goal is to deliver an online, integrated platform that helps you and each of your clients succeedat every stage of your and your clients’ business journeys. The QuickBooks platform is designed to save you time and fuel your growth by streamlining workflows and giving you access to data so you can advise your clients and help them make more-informed business decisions. We are supercharging QuickBooks with the power of AI, through Intuit Assist and the automation of tasks, to help save you and your clients time and enable businesses to get paid faster.


We have also made improvements across core accounting workflows and within within QuickBooks Online Accountant. By adding document management capabilities and accountant-only views, our goal is to make it easier for you to view client transactions and app use. We also have several new and improved payroll-related features, such as a deeper integration between between QuickBooks Payroll and QuickBooks Time, advanced payroll cost allocation, bulk pay item management, an HR hub for employee record management, and benefits, including a new healthcare partnership with Allstate Health Solutions. QuickBooks Online Core, Premium, and Elite product and related per employee price changes will occur on or after the dates indicated below the table.

QuickBooks Desktop

We want to let you know that we heard your feedback: We're extending the date for when we plan to stop selling several desktop products from July 31, 2024 to September 30, 2024. We will stop selling QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Desktop Enhanced Payroll to new U.S. subscribers after September 30, 2024, although we will continue to support renewals. The new pricing outlined below reflects the value our products provide and takes into account other offerings that are comparable in the marketplace. It also encourages businesses to evaluate both QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, determining which product is the right fit based on business need. 

QuickBooks Desktop subscription prices will take effect on the date indicated below each table.

  • QuickBooks Desktop Accountant, ProAdvisor Premier Bundle, and ProAdvisor Enterprise Bundle for all subscriptions
Upcoming changes to QuickBooks pricing

October 1, 2024

  • ProAdvisor Enterprise Bundle pricing with 12.5% and 20% discounts on new QuickBooks Enterprise subscriptions no longer applies
  • The discounts on existing QuickBooks Enterprise subscriptions purchased before October 1, 2024 will continue upon renewal, at this time. However, these discounts will no longer apply when modifications and changes are made to existing orders on or after October 1, 2024, as they result in new subscriptions.

QuickBooks Desktop Payroll prices for existing customers will take effect on the dates indicated below each table.

  • New fees apply when paying W2 employees via direct deposit in QuickBooks Legacy Enhanced

  • Enhanced Payroll for Accountants annual and monthly subscriptions


January 1, 2025

  • New fees apply when paying W2 employees via direct deposit in Enhanced Payroll for Accountants 
  • Intuit will send a 30-day notice to your impacted clients in December 2024, addressed to the primary principals’ email address on file, because the employee direct deposit fee is billed directly to your clients

QuickBooks Desktop Payments


QuickBooks Desktop Payments ACH fees will take effect for customers on the dates indicated below each table.
