Frequently Asked Questions
Who can be an Intuit ProPartner?
Designed for firms of all sizes, the program will be free and open to any accounting, bookkeeping or tax professional that uses Intuit products to provide services for their clients.
How do I join Intuit ProPartner Accountants?
To become a member, you need to sign up for the free Intuit Accountant Suite. To reach a tier higher than the Member tier, your firm will have to maintain at least one active certification per year (on QuickBooks Online Level 1, QuickBooks Payroll, or Intuit Enterprise Suite) and also have at least one client on QuickBooks Online or the Intuit Enterprise Suite. Trial clients and QuickBooks Ledger clients are not eligible.
How is Intuit ProPartner Accountants different from the ProAdvisor Program?
Intuit ProPartner Accountants is an accountant partner program built natively within Intuit Accountant Suite to reward your firm’s partnership with the full Intuit platform. While the ProAdvisor Program focuses on individual software certification, ProPartner Accountants is designed to empower your entire firm through expanded rewards, future-focused education and a connected community.
When will ProPartner Accountants succeed the ProAdvisor Program?
In early 2027, Intuit ProPartner Accountants will officially launch and succeed the current ProAdvisor Program. Until then, the ProAdvisor Program remains your program of record and will continue unchanged. We are committed to a transparent transition and will provide regular updates, milestones, and guidance throughout the lead-up to the 2027 launch.
What will happen to my ProAdvisor status and badge?
In early 2027, the ProAdvisor name and tier designations will sunset, and will be replaced by the name ProPartner and its corresponding tiers: Member, Partner, Preferred Partner, Premier Partner, and Elite Partner.
How do you earn points and move up a tier?
Firms will be able to move up a tier by earning points. Points will be based on a number of activities; for example, spend by your firm and connected clients on Intuit software, certifications you complete, as well as your other activities on the Intuit ecosystem. Additional details about how to move up tier and maintain your tier will be released in Fall.
What’s not changing?
If you're currently a ProAdvisor, the launch of Intuit ProPartner Accountants will not impact discounts or revenue share for subscriptions set up prior to the ProPartner launch date. This includes the existing 30% ProAdvisor Preferred Pricing discounts for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Payroll, and QuickBooks Bill Pay, as well as the direct-pay discount for clients during their first twelve months.
Certifications and training in ProAdvisor Academy will also remain free and available to all partners.
What will happen to the Find-A-Pro Directory when Intuit ProPartner Accountants launches?
The Find-A-Pro Directory will still be available under the new program. In the future, we plan to improve the directory to make it even easier for good-fit clients to find you. For example, by allowing firm-level listings, rather than individual practitioners, and enabling prospective clients to search for firms based on practice areas and skills. Stay tuned for more updates.
