Let's jump right in with Chandrakant for a demo of check marks in ProConnect Tax. Chandrakant, welcome!
Chandrakant Nimoria: Thank you, Jaclyn, for having me on the show. Today we are going to get a sneak peek into an exciting feature called check marks that we have launched in ProConnect Tax.
We were receiving a lot of feedback from customers around how much time they take in reviewing the information that has already been entered into a tax return. The same pro goes into the return, where they review the same fields and the same forms again and again because they don't have a very structured, very accurate way to know what all fields have already been reviewed, and what additional fields need their time and energy.
So keeping that in mind, we launched a very easy to use and very simple functionality in ProConnect Tax where you can review the entered information in a tax return and add “check marks,” which tell you that a particular field has already been reviewed so you don't need to review it again.
On my screen, you can see I have a 1040 form open, along with a little pop up that says, "Click to add check mark.” So here you are reviewing a particular tax return and going field by field. As you are reviewing all these attributes, you can add a check mark that tells you that this particular field has been reviewed. You can focus your time on reviewing the tax return to which check marks have not been added yet.
On the right side, if you want to see all the fields to which check marks have been added, you can easily do that. You can see all the fields with a check mark on the left panel of a second screen, where we are showing all these fields where check marks have been added. And along with that, if you want, you can select those specific fields as well that were edited after a check mark has been added.
So as I called out earlier, we will highlight those fields which were edited once a check check mark was added. Here on this screen in the check return window, you can see all the tax return fields that were edited after a check mark was added. You can review all those fields, one by one, and can resolve all those alerts to ensure all information that has been entered is reviewed accurately and that the tax return is 100% accurate.
